The TOJI wooden earrings draw inspiration from the traditional Buddhist temples or pagodas found in Japan. The famous To-Ji pagoda is located in Kyoto, and with its 54.8 m height it is the tallest wooden structure in Japan. The arching of the earrings is resembling the roof structure of this five-store high architectural marvel. Digital fabrication and high precision laser cutting had made it possible to shape wood to such beautiful curves, even in scales as small as an earrings.

Being only 2 mm thick, the earpieces are super lightweight and are very comfortable to wear.

All our earrings are manufactured in Copenhagen, Denmark out of high quality, FSC certified Finnish birch plywood. So your purchase is not going harm Mother Nature, because the wood is coming from a sustainably managed forest.
