Levity

Levity is an easy chair made of 1.5 mm plywood and 15x15 mm metal tube, painted blue and black. With Levity chair I wanted to catch the lightness and airiness of the material. The curved seat consists of 2 layers of plywood and styrofoam in between, while the backrest is made of one layer of 1.5 mm plywood. The prototype of the chair is made by myself with help from the wood and metal workshop masters.

The Levity was exhibited at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2015 in Aalto University’s Ultramarine stand and published on Domusweb and Dezeen.
