FLAME candle holder

Flame is an etched metal candle holder with a characteristic natural shape that reminds of a flame or a flower. The cylindrical folding of the arc shaped cut pattern creates a perfect moiré effect, making Flame a unique and eye-catching accessory.

It consists of a round disk at the bottom and a cylindrical surface with an arc shaped cut pattern. As the cylindrical surface has the shape of a circular sector (pie), when it folds around the base, it reaches increasing heights from the starting point of the rotation to the end point. For this reason there is a lower area, which makes the candle more visible, and a higher part that hides the candle from sight. This enables the customer to adjust the atmosphere by simply turning the candle holder around to achieve the required brightness. It also makes changing the candle or teacandle safe and easy through the lower side of the cylinder, which can help avoid accidental spilling of wax during candle change. The bottom disk is in a raised position, keeping a gap between the hot metal surface and the furniture to avoid burn marks.

Flame candleholder is flat-pack and was carefully designed to fit in an A4 sized envelope, which makes it the perfect decoration product for today’s online sales and delivery-oriented customers. Manufacturing is simply by chemical etching of the two pieces out of stainless steel. The shape of the parts allows for optimal packing during production with only a small loss of material. The cut out parts can remain in their original steel colour, can be plated with brass or copper, or coated in different colours to bring some variety and allow the product to harmonize with various interior styles.

While the product is economically shipped flat-pack and it requires customer assembly, it is a very simple process with its tabs and holes solution. I believe, such activities as a fast and easy assembly can easily create an emotional bond with the product adding value to it that will increase its overall lifetime in the customer’s household. At the end of its lifecycle the product can be fully recycled as it contains nothing else but stainless steel elements.
